Requirements
- Matric
- Valid Driver’s license and own vehicle
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production administration, procurement, stock control, or a similar environment will be advantageous but is not essential
- Strong numerical ability with confidence working with figures and calculations
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Highly organised with strong administrative skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think ahead
- Able to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new systems and processes
Duties
- Report directly to the General Manager, providing administrative support across the production function
- Create and issue production job cards for all incoming manufacturing orders
- Coordinate production schedules to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and within agreed timeframes
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of raw materials, consumables, and finished products to support uninterrupted production
- Verify material availability before releasing new jobs to the factory floor
- Capture and track production orders using the company's internal systems
- Prepare and process purchase orders for raw materials, consumables, and production stock
- Maintain accurate stock order records and monitor outstanding supplier orders
- Track work in progress, following up on production timelines and escalating potential delays where necessary
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm order progress, delivery dates, and resolve supply-related queries
- Collaborate with the production team to optimise workflow, scheduling, and production capacity
- Coordinate outsourced manufacturing processes, including powder coating, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
- Maintain accurate production records and ensure all documentation is completed and filed correctly
- Proactively identify potential stock shortages and coordinate timely procurement to prevent production disruptions
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve production processes, efficiency, and inventory management.
