Role Overview

IQbusiness needs a Product Designer (Contracting) who can step into a practical role in Johannesburg. A key part of the work involves Product Designer (Contracting) Research, Journey Mapping & Design Thinking.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of Plan and conduct user research activities, including discovery, validation, and usability testing.
Support the team by managing use journey mapping and research insights to inform design decisions, prioritisation, and experience improvements.
Take responsibility for the core day-to-day work expected of a Product Designer (Contracting).
Work with colleagues, customers or suppliers to keep work moving and issues visible.
Keep records, updates and handovers clear so decisions can be made with confidence.

Requirements

Enough hands-on experience to understand the pace and standards of research work.
Clear communication and the confidence to work with different stakeholders.
Sound judgement, ownership of assigned work and willingness to solve problems properly.
