Procurement Transformation Specialist
A leading organisation in the construction materials and mining-related sector is seeking a Procurement Transformation Specialist to join its Shared Services Centre. This role is ideal for a professional passionate about driving B-BBEE, Preferential Procurement, and Supplier Development strategies within a complex operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide specialist guidance to Procurement, Sourcing, and Operational teams on Preferential Procurement (PP), B-BBEE, and Supplier Development (SD) strategies
Support compliance with Mining Charter and B-BBEE requirements to ensure continued license to operate
Develop and maintain procurement transformation tools, frameworks, procedures, and guidelines
Monitor scorecards, track performance, and identify compliance gaps
Coordinate and support audits for PP and SD processes, including corrective action implementation
Collate and manage evidence for annual B-BBEE verification and SLP inspections
Act as a key liaison with community forums on Supplier Development initiatives
Compile and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual procurement transformation reports
Minimum Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Commercial disciplines
Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement within a mining or manufacturing environment
At least 2 years in a procurement transformation-focused role
Proven experience in Preferential Procurement, Supplier Development, and Supplier Relationship Management
Strong knowledge of B-BBEE and Mining Charter scorecards (DMPR & DTIC)
Experience working with SAP (MM, FI, PM modules) and advanced Excel skills
Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills
High levels of integrity, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
Advantageous
CIPS or SAPICS qualification/membership
