Procurement / Purchasing / Inventory Specialist - Germiston

Role Overview

This role takes full ownership of supplier management, inventory optimisation, cost control and detailed reporting. It requires a commercially astute and highly analytical procurement professional with strong negotiation skills and advanced reporting capability.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the complete procurement cycle from sourcing through delivery.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times and contracts with local and international suppliers.
• Build supplier relationships and source alternatives to drive cost savings.
• Monitor stock levels, slow-moving inventory, obsolete stock and safety-stock requirements.
• Forecast demand and improve inventory turnover and working-capital efficiency.
• Produce procurement, stock movement, spend, costing and margin reports.
• Use Sage Evolution or an equivalent ERP system and maintain accurate procurement data.

Requirements

• At least five years' procurement, purchasing or inventory experience.
• Manufacturing or industrial-environment experience is preferred.
• Experience managing international suppliers across multiple markets.
• Relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous.
• Sage Evolution or equivalent ERP experience and advanced Excel reporting skills.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and commercial skills.
