Procurement Coordinator

Procurement Coordinator Montague Gardens, Cape Town 

A distribution company based in Montague Gardens is seeking a Procurement Coordinator with 3–5 years’ experience. The successful candidate will manage purchasing activities, liaise with suppliers, monitor stock requirements and ensure goods are sourced cost-effectively and delivered on time.

Salary: Market related CTC

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric; relevant procurement/supply chain qualification
  • 3–5 years’ procurement or purchasing experience.
  • Experience in a distribution, wholesale or logistics environment
  • Strong supplier liaison and negotiation skills.
  • Good Excel and computer skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-up ability.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate day-to-day procurement and purchasing activities.
  • Source products, request quotes and compare pricing.
  • Place and follow up on purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with stock planning.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, lead times and deliveries.
  • Ensure accurate supplier documentation and procurement records.
  • Track orders and resolve delivery or invoice queries.
  • Support cost-saving initiatives and supplier performance monitoring.
  • Work closely with warehouse, sales and finance teams.
  • Prepare procurement reports when required.
