Pricing Analyst (Retail)

Our client is appointing a Pricing Analyst to support competitive pricing decisions and improve margin performance. This role is ideal for someone analytical who enjoys working with large datasets and turning numbers into recommendations. You will monitor competitor pricing, evaluate margin impacts, and support promotional price checks. The environment expects strong accuracy because pricing errors directly impact customer trust and profitability. You will work with buying and merchandising teams to keep pricing aligned to strategy.   • Analyse pricing performance, margin impact, and competitor positioning across key categories.
  • Support promotional pricing by validating price files and running exception reports.
  • Identify pricing risks, inconsistencies, and opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain pricing dashboards and deliver weekly/monthly reporting packs.
  • Support price change governance by ensuring approvals and audit trails are maintained.
  • Work with buying/merch teams to align pricing decisions to trading strategy.
  • Assist with data cleanup to improve pricing accuracy and master data integrity.


  • Degree/Diploma in Finance, Business, or Analytics is advantageous.
  • 2–5 years pricing/analysis experience, ideally in retail or FMCG.
  • Advanced Excel skills; BI tools advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort with large datasets.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to stakeholders.
  • Strong process discipline and deadline management.
