Our client based throughout the Western Cape is looking for a motivated accounting graduate looking to gain practical experience while supporting day-to-day financial operations in this accounting firm.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team.

REQUIREMENTS
- Completed accounting qualification with articles experience
- Strong written and verbal communication in English and Afrikaans
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel
- Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and CaseWare
- Solid knowledge of IAS, IFRS for SMEs, Companies Act, and tax regulations including VAT, PAYE and SARS processes
- Confident people’s person for professional client interaction
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Essential to be open to learning and growth
- Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with applicable reporting standards
- Compile management accounts and financial reports
- Process and review bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
- Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and income tax returns
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank, debtor, creditor, and general ledger accounts
- Assist with budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with clients regarding financial information and outstanding documentation
- Communicate with SARS regarding queries, submissions, and disputes
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
- Assist with the preparation of working papers for independent reviews and audits
- Review accounting records and identify discrepancies or areas for improvement
- Supervise and support junior accounting staff where required
- Manage multiple client portfolios and ensure deadlines are met
- Perform general accounting and administrative duties as required
