Our client is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Plumbing Counter Sales Consultant to join a fast-paced retail environment specialising in bathroom and plumbing solutions. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering excellent customer service while ensuring smooth day-to-day sales and stock operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist walk-in customers with plumbing and bathroom product enquiries and sales
Provide product advice, quotations, and recommend suitable solutions based on customer needs
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
Manage ordering of stock and follow up on supplier deliveries
Monitor stock levels and ensure products are consistently available to meet demand
Maintain accurate sales records and related administrative duties
Keep a daily record (dairy/logbook) of tasks, orders, and follow-ups to ensure nothing is missed
Support general store operations and maintain a clean, organised sales area
Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business

REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience in plumbing sales or a similar retail sales environment (essential)
Knowledge of plumbing and bathroom products (strong advantage)
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Ability to manage stock control and ordering processes
High attention to detail and accuracy in sales documentation
Energetic, proactive, and customer-focused personality
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, punctual, and accountable
Must be able to maintain a daily diary/log system effectively
