Pharmacy Manager - Clicks Sasolburg

Introduction

Lead and direct the pharmacy team to ensure the efficient operation of the dispensary and clinic, service excellence, high standards of pharmaceutical care, and delivery against sales and compliance targets.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide high standards of pharmaceutical care, accurate and safe dispensing, generic substitution, and advice in accordance with good pharmacy practice and the legal scope of practice.
  • Manage dispensary operations, stock, shrinkage, housekeeping, administration, merchandising, and compliance with professional regulations and company standards.
  • Maintain the financial viability of the dispensary through target management, expense control, and appropriate corrective action.
  • Select, lead, manage, and develop employees, learners, and interns to build capability.
  • Schedule staff according to labour policy and ensure time, attendance, and employee records are complete.
  • Manage customer-service initiatives that build loyalty and achieve participation targets.
  • Integrate the clinic, healthcare aisle, pharmacy, and store teams to provide a complete healthcare offering.
  • Drive a high-performing culture focused on employee affiliation, customer satisfaction, and business value.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

Knowledge: SAPC and relevant legal requirements, ethical practice, stock and cost management, risk and compliance, patient care and counselling, customer service, labour legislation, financial management, and competency-based interviewing.

Skills: Managerial, tutoring, coaching, planning, organising, problem solving, customer orientation, patient care, computer literacy, and financial acumen.

Competencies: Leading and supervising, delivering results, meeting customer expectations, planning and organising, relating and networking, coping with pressure and setbacks, commercial thinking, working with people, and adhering to principles and values.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Minimum two years' experience after completion of community service.
  • Minimum one year of people-management experience.
  • Registration as a Responsible Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council.
  • Registered Pharmacist qualification with SAPC.
  • Retail pharmacy experience and Unisolve experience are advantageous.
