Outside Sales Representative - Technical products

Our Client based in Wadeville is seeking your  2–5 years of external sales experience, ideally within the lighting, electrical, or construction industries.

This role is perfect for a self-starter who understands technical products and enjoys making an impact.

REQUIREMENTS

• Matric required
• 2–5 years’ experience in technical external sales (industrial, engineering, electrical, mechanical, or related sectors)
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain products/solutions
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Strong time management and self-discipline

DUTIES

• Identify, develop, and manage new and existing customer accounts
• Conduct on-site client visits, product demonstrations, and technical consultations
• Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and tenders
• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions
• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and customer interactions
• Collaborate with internal teams (technical, procurement, and admin) to ensure seamless delivery and after-sales support
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback
