Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily cargo operations, manage staff and resources, ensure compliance, and maintain efficient freight movement within a busy air cargo environment.

Minimum Requirements

Certificate in Supply Chain Management (NQF Level 5)
Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence
Minimum 5 years’ experience in cargo, logistics or warehouse operations
Minimum 3 years’ management experience
Experience handling HR and IR matters
Knowledge of health & safety and regulatory compliance
Computer literate
Willing to work abnormal hours when required

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage and oversee daily cargo and warehouse operations
Allocate staff and resources to ensure smooth workflow
Manage rosters, attendance and team performance
Ensure compliance with safety, security and operational procedures
Lead, coach and support employees
Handle disciplinary and IR-related matters when required
Monitor vehicles, equipment and operational resources
Conduct audits, incident reporting and corrective actions
Ensure accurate cargo processing, planning, manifesting and billing
Manage customer and supplier relationships
Resolve operational issues and improve service delivery
Maintain on-time performance and support business objectives
