This role will involve managing drivers, technicians and yard staff. Overall fleet maintenance, equipment performance, stock control and effective operational costing, ensuring full compliance with health & safety regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

Tertiary qualification in civil/industrial engineering/mechanical engineering or business/operations/logistics
5 years’ experience within these industries
Experience in operations management or project management
Valid driver’s license
Computer literacy in MS Office
Adaptable and flexible to work extended hours
Ability to work under pressure and handle after-hours crises
Strong people, leadership and fleet management skills
Good planning, problem-solving and organizational skills
Accountability and decision-making ability
Leadership and team coordination
Customer service orientated
Practical, hands-on management style within a fast-paced industry

DUTIES

Manage day-to-day operations of sanitation and facilities rental units at events and sites
Plan and optimize service routes and schedules
Supervise drivers, technicians and yard staff
Oversee fleet, equipment and pump unit maintenance
Asset Management
Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
Monitor service quality and resolve client issues promptly
Manage stocks (chemical, consumables, spare parts)
Control operational costs and improve efficiency
Liaise with clients, municipalities and suppliers
Assist with staff training, performance management and discipline
