Future Careers is recruiting on behalf of a leading retail business in Botswana for an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of approximately 25-30 stores and drive commercial success across the region.

This is not just an operations role, we’re looking for a strategic leader who can inspire teams, elevate performance and build a culture of excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the performance of approximately 25 retail stores
• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned to business objectives
• Drive sales growth, profitability and operational efficiencies
• Coach, mentor and develop Area and Store Management teams
• Ensure exceptional customer experience and brand execution across all locations
• Analyse KPIs and implement action plans to improve performance
• Drive workforce planning, succession and talent development
• Manage budgets, stock performance and operational controls
• Lead change, innovation and continuous improvement initiatives

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Proven experience in a leading multi-site retail operations leadership role
• Experience managing large teams across multiple locations
• Strong commercial and financial acumen
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on leadership style
• Ability to influence, motivate and build high-performing teams
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Retail experience within fashion, high-volume retail environments is a requirement
• Relevant tertiary qualification preferred
