Role Overview

Manage the effective and profitable operation of a logistics department within a leading agribusiness in North West. The role combines financial control, operational improvement, asset management, customer development, and commercial execution, with road-freight logistics experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Establish and control budgets and monitor attainment of agreed financial goals.
• Maintain operational effectiveness through consistent improvement and innovation.
• Identify shortcomings in current practices and establish practical improvements.
• Manage company assets in line with company guidelines.
• Create new business through active marketing, follow-up, and conversion of opportunities.
• Coordinate logistics operations and support profitable, reliable service delivery.

Requirements

• Experience managing logistics operations, preferably within road freight.
• Strong financial-control, budgeting, asset-management, and commercial skills.
• Proven process-improvement, operational-planning, customer-development, and team-leadership ability.
• Ability to manage performance, identify opportunities, and deliver against operational and financial targets.
