Office Operations Co-ordinator

A leading company within the telecommunications and technology industry is seeking an experienced Office Operations Co-ordinator for a 6-month contract position based in Cape Town CBD.
This on-site role will focus on office administration, facilities co-ordination, asset management, access control, operational support, and stakeholder engagement within a fast-paced corporate environment.

Location:

Cape Town CBD, Western Cape

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification
  • Certification in Business Administration will be advantageous
  • 5+ years’ experience in an Office Co-ordination, Office Administration, Facilities Co-ordination, or Operations Support role
  • Previous experience in a corporate, professional services, telecommunications, or technology environment
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing company equipment, office assets, inventory control, and reporting
  • Experience working with digital tools, reporting systems, and operational tracking platforms
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills with proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and reporting tools
  • Google Workspace experience advantageous
  • Basic understanding of office health and safety procedures and facilities management protocols
  • Strong organisational, multitasking, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
  • Immediate availability to commence a 6-month contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate and manage daily office operations and administration activities
  • Liaise with building management, service providers, and external stakeholders
  • Manage office access control, parking tags, visitor access, and monthly reporting
  • Oversee office asset management, inventory control, equipment tracking, and stock takes
  • Maintain office supplies, purchasing records, and monthly reconciliations
  • Ensure office cleanliness, organisation, and facilities standards are maintained
  • Manage and oversee the external cleaning service provider
  • Prepare courier packaging and dispatch documentation
  • Compile operational, inventory, and asset management reports for leadership
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements
  • Support the HR team, CEO, and Senior Leadership with office-related requirements
  • Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, governance standards, and office procedures
