About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, organised and professional Office Assistant to support the smooth day-to-day running of a busy office environment in Cape Town.

This role is ideal for someone with at least 2 years’ experience in office administration, reception, general support or a similar administrative role. The successful candidate will assist with office coordination, documentation, communication, record keeping and general administrative duties.

You will need to be friendly, detail-oriented and comfortable working with different teams, suppliers, clients and visitors.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with general office administration and daily support tasks
  • Answering calls, taking messages and directing enquiries
  • Welcoming visitors and maintaining a professional reception area
  • Managing office filing, scanning, printing and document control
  • Capturing and updating information accurately on internal systems
  • Assisting with email correspondence and basic office communication
  • Coordinating office supplies, stationery and consumables
  • Supporting meeting arrangements, bookings and office scheduling
  • Assisting with supplier follow-ups and general office coordination
  • Supporting basic finance/admin tasks such as invoice filing or payment follow-ups where required
  • Maintaining a neat, organised and professional office environment
  • Assisting management and team members with ad hoc administrative duties


Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an office assistant, administrator, receptionist or office support role
  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and general email use
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Friendly, professional and helpful manner
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise daily workload
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual and presentable


Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Experience in a busy office or professional services environment
  • Experience handling reception and front-desk duties
  • Experience working with office systems, CRM systems or admin platforms
  • Basic finance administration exposure
  • Experience dealing with suppliers, clients or internal departments
