About the Role

We are recruiting a hands-on Night Shift Warehouse Manager to lead night-time operations at a high-volume distribution facility in Centurion. You will take full operational ownership of the night shift (18:00–06:00, Monday to Friday), leading a team of warehouse supervisors, pickers, packers and MHE operators to ensure orders are accurately picked, staged and audit-ready for morning dispatch. The role requires strong people leadership, proven experience in high-volume pick-and-pack environments, and practical use of WMS/ERP systems and Excel. You will be accountable for productivity, inventory integrity, safety and shift-to-shift handovers, working to ISO and company safety standards. Permanent role with membership in the company provident fund and a December annual bonus. Responsibilities

Key responsibilities: - Lead and manage night-shift workforce: attendance, leave cover, productivity KPIs, performance appraisals and disciplinary actions in line with HR policies. - Run high-volume pick, pack, binning and staging operations to ensure orders are accurate and audit-ready for morning dispatch (no evening deliveries required). - Coordinate shift handovers and workflow continuity with day management and inventory teams; manage backlogs and space allocation. - Maintain inventory control and QA: enforce low/no picking/packing error rates, assist with cycle counts, ensure barcode scanning and system records match physical staging. - Oversee MHE pre-shift checks, battery charging routines and ensure safe material handling practices. - Enforce OHS/ISO (9001/45001) standards, housekeeping, security and access control during night hours. Minimum requirements (non-negotiable legal/eligibility criteria): - South African-born citizen with valid South African ID. - Clean criminal record (no convictions) and clear ITC/credit history with no judgments/defaults. - Grade 12 / Matric required; tertiary logistics/supply chain/operations qualification advantageous. - 3–5+ years supervisory/management experience overseeing large warehouse teams (60+ staff) in fast-paced pick-and-pack operations. - Proven experience with WMS/ERP systems and basic MS Office (Excel, Outlook). - Must be available and committed to permanent night shift hours (18:00–06:00, Mon–Fri). Desirable: - Experience in automotive parts/aftermarket spares distribution; forklift/MHE license; knowledge of ISO standards and lean warehousing principles.
