Millwright
A leading FMCG company based in Atlantis, Western Cape is seeking a Maintenance Technician/Millwright for a permanent position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance, ensuring equipment reliability and supporting high-speed production operations within a food manufacturing environment.

- Tertiary qualification in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
- Trade Tested Millwright (essential)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance within FMCG or food manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with PLCs, VFDs, automation and electrical control systems
- Knowledge of mechanical systems including welding, fabrication, pneumatics and fluid transfer
- Experience with high-speed packaging equipment (advantageous)
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards
- Exposure to reliability centred maintenance (e.g. CMRP advantageous)
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
- Willing to work overtime, weekends and after hours
- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on production and facility equipment
- Conduct fault finding, diagnostics and troubleshooting on PLCs, automation systems and machinery
- Ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability in a high-speed FMCG environment
- Execute planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance tasks
- Maintain and manage spare parts inventory
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with GMP, safety regulations and food safety standards
- Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Respond to breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements
