Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanical Fitter & Welder to join a pest control company’s technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding, fabrication, and mechanical maintenance of pest control equipment, vehicles, and related systems. This role requires a hands-on individual with strong technical ability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment. Experience or exposure to pest control operations or a Pest Control Officer (PCO) qualification will be highly advantageous.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform welding, fabrication, and repair work on equipment, structures, and vehicles.
Maintain and repair pest control application equipment (sprayers, tanks, rigs, and related systems).
Carry out mechanical fitting, assembly, and installation tasks.
Diagnose faults and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical systems.
Read and interpret technical drawings and equipment specifications.
Ensure all equipment is safe, functional, and compliant with operational standards.
Assist with workshop and field maintenance work when required.
Support installation or modification of pest control systems on vehicles or facilities.
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe working environment.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company standards at all times.

REQUIREMENTS:

Proven experience as a welder, fitter, or mechanical technician.
Trade qualification in welding, fitting, or related mechanical field (advantageous).
Experience with MIG, TIG, or arc welding.
Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding ability.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Valid driver’s licence.
Physically fit and able to work in workshop and field environments.
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in pest control equipment or Pest Control Officer (PCO) qualification is an advantage
