Role Overview

RecruitPro Solutions needs a Mechanical Design Engineer who can step into a practical role in Johannesburg East. A key part of the work involves Mechanical Design Engineer This is a senior individual contributor and team leadership role within a multi-disciplinary mechanical design engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

Support the team by managing lead the design of complex mechanical systems for underground mobile mining equipment using SolidWorks or Autodesk — including 3D layouts, detailed drawings, assemblies, .
Support the team by managing drive the full product development lifecycle: problem definition, concept development, component selection, detailed design, prototyping, validation, and production relea.
Take ownership of Lead design reviews and cross-functional engineering reviews, providing structured input for continuous improvement.
Take responsibility for the core day-to-day work expected of a Mechanical Design Engineer.
Work with colleagues, customers or suppliers to keep work moving and issues visible.

Requirements

Enough hands-on experience to understand the pace and standards of design services work.
Clear communication and the confidence to work with different stakeholders.
Sound judgement, ownership of assigned work and willingness to solve problems properly.
