Our client is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Marker Maker to join their team in Durban North

This role is critical in ensuring optimal fabric utilization and supporting the design and production teams with precise marker layouts.

The successful candidate will bring technical expertise, accuracy, and efficiency to our marker-making process

Minimum Requirements:

Relevant qualification in Fashion Technology, Garment Construction, or a related field.
Proficient in marker-making software (e.g., Gerber AccuMark, Lectra, or similar).
Strong understanding of fabric types, garment construction, and production processes.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
2+ years of experience in a marker-making role within the apparel industry preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Create markers for production that maximize fabric efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
Interpret patterns and technical specifications to produce accurate markers.
Collaborate with pattern makers, designers, and production teams to resolve layout challenges.
Ensure markers adhere to style, size range, and fabric requirements.
Work with CAD systems and marker-making software to develop and optimize layouts.
Maintain an organized library of markers for reference and future use.
Monitor fabric consumption and advise on improvements where possible.
