Manager: Employee Benefits & Renumeration

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Manager: Employee Benefits and Remuneration to join their Human Resources leadership team. This role is responsible for developing and implementing a Total Reward Strategy that supports the organisation’s HR strategy, enhances employee engagement, and strengthens talent attraction and retention.

The successful candidate will play a key role in aligning remuneration, benefits, and reward practices with organisational values, performance management systems, and long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of the overall HR strategy in alignment with organisational goals.
  • Develop and implement a Total Reward Strategy that supports staff retention and organisational performance.
  • Design and maintain transparent, competency-based remuneration and reward processes.
  • Develop and implement remuneration systems that improve organisational efficiency and competitiveness.
  • Oversee job evaluation processes and ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure standardisation of job titles and job profiles across the organisation.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of benefits and variable pay policies and procedures.
  • Manage remuneration and reward projects within the HR division.
  • Produce accurate monthly and annual reports to support executive decision-making.
  • Lead and develop the Benefits and Reward Services team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Support organisational initiatives related to performance management, change management, and organisational design.

Minimum Requirements

  • Honours Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Management, or a related field (NQF Level 8).
  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, HR, Remuneration, or Payroll (advantageous).
  • 9 years’ experience within an HR Reward Services environment (Benefits and Remuneration).
  • At least 5 years in a specialist or management role.
  • Registration with the **South African Rewards Association (SARA) as a Remuneration Specialist (advantageous).
