Maintenance Manager - Packhouse Agriculture

Role Overview

The Maintenance Manager will lead facility maintenance at an agricultural packhouse in Hoedspruit, with responsibility for maintenance planning, reliable equipment, and safe operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and control maintenance schedules.
• Plan facility improvement projects and coordinate timely execution.
• Plan, manage, and control maintenance budgets.
• Manage a proactive preventative maintenance strategy.
• Conduct walkthroughs and regular inspections across the facility.
• Ensure electrical units and mechanical systems operate correctly.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and service activities.
• Order spare parts and replacement equipment and ensure maintenance work is coordinated effectively.

Requirements

• Grade 12.
• Qualification in an electrical or mechanical field.
• 5 years' experience in a similar management position.
• Experience with maintenance planning, budgeting, and preventative maintenance.
• Extensive team-management experience.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
• Own transport and a valid driver's licence.
