The Role

The Maintenance Coordinator will report to a packhouse in the Piketberg area and coordinate equipment, facility and operational maintenance in a produce-packing environment.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment.
Complete general building maintenance and daily inspections.
Oversee storage and handling of table grapes and citrus.
Supervise in the packhouse and report and repair breakdowns.
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
Work irregular or night shifts and longer hours when required.

Requirements

Relevant N3 Fitter or Electrician, or NQF4 Fitter or Electrician qualification.
At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
Cold-room maintenance experience is advantageous.
Ability to work in a packing-industry environment.
