Key Account Manager (Frozen Food)

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Key Account Manager to be based at their Head Office in Firgrove. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing key customer accounts, driving sales growth, and strengthening long-term client relationships across all regions. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, achieving sales and margin targets, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through strategic account planning, market insight, and effective collaboration with internal teams. The Key Account Manager will report directly to the General Manager and will be based in  Firgrove. 


Responsibilities
  • Maintain and increase sales of products to the existing customer base
  • Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities and create new business
  • Create sales budget for regional customers and monitor turnover against it on a monthly basis
  • Achieving weekly, monthly and annual KPIs
  • Present strategic planning to improve client results
  • Meet margin targets
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Collaborating with the sales team to maximise profit by up-sell and cross-sell potential within existing customers
  • Monitoring market trends and providing regular feedback including on competitors
  • Acting as the main point of contact between key clients and internal teams
  • Compiling reports on account progress, goals and forecasts
  • Meeting all client needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines
  • Visit customers and follow up on leads
  • Demonstrate and present products and attend to trade exhibitions
  • Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all regulations/applicable laws
  • Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and company
Requirements:
  • At least 4 years of proven experience as Key Account manager in the food service and/or retail industry
  • Network of contacts within the purchasing departments of the main players in the Food service and Retail is required
  • Have proven strong track record of success within account management
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions.
  • Highly goal oriented, assertive and a hands-on problem solver.
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Analyse and draw inference from data
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
  • In possession of own car
  • Willing to travel within different regions
