Junior Store Manager - Edendale PMB

Synopsis

A leading fashion retailer is seeking an experienced and results-driven Store Manager to lead and oversee retail operations across high-performing clothing stores within the KwaZulu-Natal coastal regions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing store profitability, leading and developing store teams, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience across all operational areas.

This is a senior leadership position requiring strong clothing retail management experience, commercial awareness, and a proven ability to achieve and exceed targets in a fast-paced fashion retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for store performance, sales, and profitability.
• Drive and exceed store sales targets, KPIs, and operational objectives.
• Lead, mentor, coach, and develop store teams, including junior managers and supervisors.
• Oversee all daily store operations and ensure operational excellence.
• Implement and maintain high visual merchandising standards in line with brand requirements.
• Manage stock control, stock levels, stock accuracy, and shrinkage prevention.
• Analyse sales reports and performance data to identify opportunities and implement strategies to improve results.
• Ensure consistently outstanding customer service and a strong brand experience.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, performance reviews, and disciplinary processes.
• Handle escalated customer queries and resolve complex customer issues effectively.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and retail standards.
• Drive a high-performance culture within the store through effective leadership, coaching, and accountability.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric – essential.
• 2–3 years’ clothing retail experience in a senior management role.
• Management experience – essential.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
• Strong leadership and team-management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong financial and operational understanding of retail store performance.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to analyse performance and drive profitability.
• Customer-focused with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
