About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Junior Head Chef to support kitchen operations, lead the culinary team, and help deliver exceptional food quality and service standards. This role is ideal for a chef ready to take the next step into a leadership position while working closely with senior management.

What You’ll Do

Assist with managing daily kitchen operations and service execution
Lead, train, and support kitchen staff to maintain high standards
Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
Assist with menu planning, specials, and recipe development
Monitor stock levels, ordering, and kitchen inventory
Maintain food safety, hygiene, and health standards
Support cost control, waste reduction, and kitchen efficiency
Help manage kitchen schedules and staff performance

Requirements

Culinary qualification or relevant professional experience
Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Senior Chef, or similar role
Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation
Leadership and team management skills
Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP principles
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and creativity
