Junior External Sales Representative

Do you have 1–2 years' external sales experience and a passion for growing your career?

Our client in Cape Town is looking for a motivated Junior Sales Representative to prospect for new business, build strong client relationships, and convert opportunities into sales. Previous sales experience is essential, while experience in the renewable energy industry will be advantageous. Full product training will be provided.

Applicants must have their own reliable transport and a valid South African driver's licence.

Requirements:

• Matric or similar qualification
• Willing to use own vehicle for work purposes (fuel is covered by the company)
• Proven external sales experience with a strong track record of new business development
• Experience in cold calling and generating your own sales opportunities
• Ability to confidently present solutions and negotiate with decision-makers
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and closing skills
• Computer literacy (MS Office and CRM systems)
• Experience within technical industries such as renewable energy, electrical, solar, batteries or similar would be highly advantageous

Duties:

• Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking and market research
• Schedule and attend face-to-face meetings with prospective and existing clients
• Promote and sell battery and energy storage solutions to installers, distributors and renewable energy companies
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction
• Prepare quotations, proposals and sales presentations
• Follow up on leads and sales enquiries in a timely manner
• Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets
• Maintain an up-to-date CRM database and sales pipeline
• Collaborate with the owner to ensure smooth order processing and customer service delivery

Salary:  R10,000 basic + commission.
