Junior Data IT Administrator

Our client based in Noordhoek requires a junior Data Controller to manage and quality check large volumes of geophysical data. The role involves identifying data inconsistencies, ensuring high levels of accuracy, and maintaining strict adherence to quality control protocols on a daily basis.
 
The successful candidate will also collaborate with field crews to promptly resolve data quality issues, requiring strong attention to detail, organisation, and a commitment to data integrity.

REQUIREMENTS

• Matric
• Graduate, minimum diploma or equivalent, with an interest in IT or geology advantageous
• Ability to effectively manage data
• Proficiency in Excel
• Tech/IT enthusiast
• Keen eye for detail with a high level of attention to detail
• Passion for maintaining the highest standard
• Enjoys structure and routine
• Good Communication Skills and a keen team player

DUTIES

• Meticulously scrutinizing data for abnormalities, or inconsistencies
• Daily maintain the highest standard of data with excellent attention to detail
• Effectively managing and organizing large volumes of geophysical data
• Manage file naming conventions, metadata management, and proper archiving
• Adhere daily to established quality control protocols
• Manage standardized checklists and procedures
• Ensure daily consistency and accuracy in data evaluation
• Collaborating with field crew to address and resolve quality-related concerns in a timely manner

Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
