Junior Category Buyer Johannesburg Gauteng 

Our retail / FMCG client in Johannesburg is looking for a Category Buyer with 2-3 years experience in Buying and as a Junior Category Buyer  within the convenient market food retail space.

Salary: Negotiable

Min Requirements

• Relevant Qualification an added bonus
• 2-3 years plus retail fmcg experience as a junior category buyer / intermediate category buyer within the retail convenience market food space – Bakery Fruit Veg perishables
• Proven buying experience within convenience market retail bakery and/or food categories at a manufacturer level (essential)
• Strong understanding of category management and commercial drivers – convenience market retail food space
• Experience working across multi-site retail or food service environments
• Exposure to concept development and product innovation
• Packaging experience will be advantageous

• Drive cost optimisation and margin improvement
• Product & Concept Development
• Multi-Site Performance roll out and Management
• Monitor performance across several outlets
