Junior CAD Draughtsman (Mechanical) – Durban

Role Overview

An engineering consulting firm is seeking a Junior CAD Draughtsman to prepare drawings and related graphics for the presentation of its division’s deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Create and compile drawings and related graphics required to present the division’s deliverables.
• Prepare drawings to the appropriate standards from verbal, written, drawn, sketched or sample instructions.
• Source and obtain information required to compile drawings.
• Create, edit and maintain project-specific drawing lists throughout their evolutionary stages.
• Ensure project drawings and related data—including surveys, coordinates, services information, architects’ drawings and email—are documented and filed at archive stage.
• Monitor drafting hardware.
• Provide CAD-related hardware and software support.
• Travel when required for short-term site visits and take site measurements as needed.

Requirements

• Grade 12.
• At least 1–2 years’ experience.
• Proficiency in CADworx or AutoCAD.

Additional Information

Advertised salary: R10,000–R15,000 per month.
