Junior Associate Attorney

Junior Associate Attorney Cape Town 

 

We are seeking a motivated Junior Associate Attorney with at least 2 years’ post‑admission experience and practical exposure to deceased estate administration, labour law, family law and property matters (evictions, rental collections). Must have a valid driver’s licence and own transport.

 

Salary: Market related

 

Minimum requirements

  • LLB (or equivalent) and admitted attorney in South Africa.
  • Minimum 2 years post‑admission experience with proven hands‑on work in the four listed practice areas.
  • Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
  • Litigation and motion court experience.
  • Experience and practical exposure to:
    • deceased estate administration,
    • labour law,
    • family law
    • property matters (evictions, rental collections)

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage matters in deceased estates, labour (CCMA/hearings), family law and property (evictions, rental collections).
  • Draft court papers, affidavits, wills, L&D accounts, correspondence and settlement agreements.
  • Attend client consultations, court/tribunal appearances and liaise with counsel/third parties.
  • Maintain accurate files, deadlines and matter records.
