Our client, a prestigious turnkey engineering and steel works/fabrication company, seeks to employ a Junior Accountant, who has completed Articles, experience in general accounting, foreign exchange transactions and project costing/WIP calculations, to join their team in Cape Town.

Please note this is not a senior role but rather a more junior role with the view of career progression, completed articles are essential.

KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:

You will have a tertiary qualification in Finance, coupled with completed Articles, coupled with experience in the engineering or manufacturing sector, using Pastel software up to trial balance.
You will have experience in VAT, IFRS, project costing, managing debtors, bank recons, verifying salaries, preparing reports and supplier account authorisations.
In addition, you will have experience in foreign exchange transactions, understand stock variance reporting and manage intercompany loan accounts.
You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
