Synopsis

An accounting services team is looking for a Junior Accountant to prepare complete UK-compliant financial accounts and work directly with clients in a collaborative Cape Town office. The position offers exposure to the full accounts-production process and direct interaction with international clients.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare complete UK-compliant financial accounts from start to finish.
Review client accounting information and identify missing or inconsistent items.
Work directly with clients to obtain information and resolve accounting queries.
Maintain accurate working papers and supporting financial records.
Complete assigned accounts work within agreed delivery timelines.
Participate in regular team calls and use senior support when technical issues arise.
Apply a commercial mindset when identifying additional client service opportunities.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

Practical experience preparing financial accounts.
Working knowledge of UK accounting standards or UK-compliant accounts preparation.
Ability to communicate professionally with clients.
Strong attention to detail when reviewing financial information.
Ability to work independently while using team support appropriately.
