Are you in a junior accounts finance role using Xero Accounting software and Excel?

Our client based in the Cape Town Southern Suburbs requires your excellent finance skills to join their team managing invoices, reviewing supplier supplier accounts and managing all reconciliations.

XERO Accounting experience and Intermediate EXCEL essential, bilingual in English and Afrikaans.

REQUIREMENTS

Matric plus finance qualification
2 - 3 years' proven experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role
Proficiency in Xero accounting software
Intermediate Excel skills, including experience managing spreadsheets
Strong time-management and organisational abilities
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to consistently meet deadlines
Basic understanding of financial reporting principles

DUTIES:

Receive, capture, and process all incoming accounts payable invoices accurately and on time
Verify every invoice against actuals before processing to ensure accuracy
Cross-reference invoices with operations to confirm goods/services received
Reconcile supplier accounts against statements and payment records
Proactively identify and prevent duplicate payments
Liaise directly with suppliers to resolve billing queries and disputes in a professional and timely manner
Maintain organised, up-to-date records to support month-end and reporting processes

Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
