A well-established organisation within the industrial and manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced IT Technician to provide hands-on technical support, maintain IT infrastructure, and ensure the smooth operation of hardware, software, networks, and end-user systems.

This role is ideal for a technically strong, solutions-driven individual with experience in IT support, troubleshooting, and system maintenance who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, workstations, printers, and peripheral devices.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users across the business.
Manage Active Directory, including user setup, password resets, and permissions.
Assist with Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
Conduct basic network troubleshooting involving switches, access points, VOIP devices, and connectivity issues.
Perform routine system maintenance, updates, diagnostics, and performance optimisation.
Monitor and maintain backups, ensuring business continuity processes are followed.
Maintain IT asset registers, inventory, and records of repairs and maintenance.
Assist with onboarding of new employees and IT setup requirements.
Support IT projects and collaborate with the broader IT team.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ experience in an IT Technical Support / IT Technician role.
Strong knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting.
Experience with Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365.
Exposure to Active Directory user management.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ / Network+ advantageous.
Degree or studies in Computer Science / Information Technology preferred.
