Inventory Control Manager - Cape Town
Do you have proven experience managing daily stock operations and coordinating performance with an external warehouse partner?
Our international client, with offices in Cape Town, is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on professional to take full ownership of inventory management for bespoke property renovation projects. This role is responsible for ensuring stock accuracy, availability, and effective cost control, while working closely with third-party suppliers to source items not held in-house.

This role is responsible for ensuring stock accuracy, availability, and effective cost control, while working closely with third-party suppliers to source items not held in-house.
REQUIREMENTS
- Matric, with relevant tertiary qualification
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in inventory management, warehouse or operational roles
- Strong commercial judgement and cost awareness
- A genuine interest and eye for bespoke interiors
- Confidence working cross-functionally with Design, Finance, Client Success and Operations
- Excellent relationship-building skills in a hybrid or remote environment
- High attention to detail with strong follow-through
- High proficiency with systems and tools eg monday.com, Veeqo, Shopify or similar platforms
- Calm, accountable and solutions-focused under pressure
- Stable fiber internet connection, and back up solution to loadshedding
- Own laptop capable of running multiple programmes (dual screens highly desirable)
- Dedicated home office or professional working space
- Hybrid working, 2 days a week from Cape Town office
- Take full ownership of the end-to-end management of inventory.
- Oversee the warehouse partner relationship, including storage planning and optimisation.
- Ensure accurate, real-time visibility of stock levels, locations, and condition.
- Forecast storage capacity requirements and associated costs; implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Monitor inventory levels and anticipate demand in line with project pipelines.
- Plan and procure stock in alignment with pipeline requirements, creative direction, and cash flow.
- Manage returns from completed projects, including quality control assessments.
- Determine repair, reuse, resale, or disposal strategies for renovation items.
- Coordinate picking, preparation, and single-drop installations.
- Oversee collections following project completion.
- Provide operational support to third-party partners.
- Align planning, cost assumptions, and warehouse capacity with overall project strategy.
- Manage timelines to prevent duplication, delays, or installation conflicts.
- Maintain accurate inventory systems, controls, and reporting.
- Drive ongoing operational improvements and cost efficiencies.
