Intermediate Backend Developer - Java Microservices

Synopsis

A software team supporting a mission-critical ISP provisioning platform is looking for an Intermediate Backend Developer to design and maintain scalable Java services and microservices. Availability, performance and reliability are important to the platform, and the role works within an Agile engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build scalable and secure backend services using Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain Java microservices supporting provisioning processes.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs.
• Integrate backend services with internal and third-party systems.
• Work with SQL-backed application data and database interactions.
• Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews.
• Contribute to solution architecture activities.
• Troubleshoot backend and integration issues affecting platform reliability.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

• Three to five years of software-development experience.
• At least three years of Java backend-development experience.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot development skills.
• Experience building REST APIs and microservice-based applications.
• Working knowledge of SQL databases and application integrations.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
