Industrial Installation Technician

Our client is seeking a young, energetic, and technically minded Industrial Installation Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Engineering graduate or technically inclined individual looking to build a career in industrial installations, automation, fabrication, and pest control services. Comprehensive training will be provided across all aspects of the role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Assist with the installation of high-speed industrial doors at some of South Africa's largest manufacturing and processing facilities
  • Program and configure high-speed door software and control systems
  • Perform light lifting and general installation duties during projects
  • Fabricate and assemble components used in automatic door systems, including basic welding, cutting, drilling, and bolting
  • Work safely at heights using scaffolding and access equipment to seal factory roof and building openings
  • Conduct inspections to ensure installations meet quality and safety standards
  • Receive training to qualify as a Pest Control Officer and assist with pest management activities following factory sealing projects
  • Identify and remove pest risks, including insects, rodents, and birds, within industrial environments
  • Travel to client sites as required and represent the company professionally
  • Complete installation, service, and project documentation
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related technical field preferred
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Comfortable working in industrial and factory environments
  • Willingness to work at heights and on scaffolding
  • Practical aptitude and interest in installation, fabrication, and technical work
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to learn software programming and automated control systems
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Physically fit and capable of performing light manual work
  • Valid driver's licence advantageous
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites when required
