Immediately Available Maintenance Manager

Are you an immediately available Maintenance Manager, ready to oversee our client’s properties in Wadeville?

You will supervise a team of 2 while being hands-on with all repairs, including plumbing, roofing, and general maintenance.

We need a proactive, practical problem-solver who can manage the team and handle tasks personally while keeping the properties in top condition.

REQUIREMENTS

• Matric, 
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport (essential)
• Proven experience in general maintenance or handyman work
• Strong practical skills in plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
• Experience supervising or leading a small team is advantageous
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Trustworthy, reliable, and dedicated
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Involves travel between sites
• Requires physical labour and occasional work at heights

 
DUTIES

• Conduct general maintenance and repairs across residential and commercial properties
• Perform hands-on tasks including fixing cupboards, repairing taps, addressing leaks, and identifying water damage
• Inspect roofs and carry out minor roof-related maintenance (must be comfortable working at heights)
• Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day maintenance issues efficiently
• Supervise and manage two maintenance team members
• Coordinate and liaise with external contractors for specialized repairs or larger projects
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed timeously and to a high standard
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance records
• Conduct routine inspections to proactively identify potential issues
