Human Resources Manager (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Embark on a strategic leadership opportunity with a well-established organisation, where your expertise in human resources will help drive workforce development and organisational success. This role offers the opportunity to lead key HR initiatives, influence people practices, and foster a high-performing workplace culture during a six-month fixed-term contract.

Duties:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organisational objectives

  • Oversee daily HR operations and service delivery

  • Manage employee and labour relations, including disciplinary processes, grievances, and conflict resolution

  • Drive talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning, and employee development initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, HR policies, and governance standards

  • Review, develop, and enforce HR policies and procedures

  • Provide strategic HR advice and support to management

  • Lead and cultivate the HR team, fostering a positive work environment

  • Promote employee engagement and organisational development

  • Prepare HR reports and workforce analytics for informed decision-making

Requirements:

  • National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 6 or 7) in Human Resources Management or a related field.

  • Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) is essential.

  • Advanced computer literacy.

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in Human Resources Management.

  • Minimum of 3 years' leadership or supervisory experience.

  • Previous public sector HR experience is essential.

  • Availability to commence on short notice will be advantageous.

Nice to Have:

  • Skills in Skills Development and organisational management

  • Competence in using HR management systems

  • Knowledge of the C programming language is a plus
