Human Resources Business Partner
We are seeking a dynamic, people-focused and commercially minded Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team on a 12-month contract. This role partners closely with leadership teams to deliver end-to-end HR support that drives business performance, employee engagement and organisational effectiveness.

The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to leadership, with strong capability in labour relations, facilitation, talent management and people analytics.
You will play a key role in supporting the employee experience across the full HR lifecycle while partnering with stakeholders to implement practical and commercially sound people solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to align people initiatives with business strategy and performance goals
- Deliver end-to-end HR generalist support across the employee lifecycle in line with HR policies and South African labour legislation
- Act as a trusted advisor on labour relations and employee relations matters, including misconduct, grievances, incapacity, poor performance and workplace conflict
- Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, calibration discussions and employee performance conversations
- Support talent management, succession planning and employee engagement initiatives
- Facilitate workshops, discussions and people interventions with managers and employees
- Use people data, trends and insights to identify risks, opportunities and support business decision-making
- Support organisational change initiatives, onboarding, integration activities and workforce planning
- Collaborate with HR specialist teams to deliver integrated people solutions
- Draft and deliver clear employee and leadership communications relating to HR initiatives and change processes
- Promote a high-performance culture through accountability, continuous learning and development
Requirements Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Human Resources
- Industrial Psychology
- Labour Relations
- or a related field
Advantageous Qualifications
- Honours or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or related field
Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role
- Strong labour relations / employee relations experience with the ability to manage cases independently
- Experience in performance management and talent management processes
- Exposure to facilitation, stakeholder engagement and organisational initiatives
- Experience in a regulated environment, financial services or asset management advantageous
- Exposure to HR reporting, people analytics and AI-enabled tools advantageous
