About the Role
We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented HR Admin to support the day-to-day HR operations of a busy team in Cape Town.
This role is ideal for someone with at least 2 years’ experience in HR administration, office administration or people support. The successful candidate will assist with employee records, onboarding coordination, HR documentation, scheduling and general HR support.
You will need to be accurate, professional and comfortable working with confidential employee information.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting with general HR administration and employee support
- Maintaining accurate employee records and personnel files
- Supporting onboarding administration for new starters
- Preparing HR documents, letters, forms and templates
- Assisting with leave records, attendance information and staff updates
- Coordinating interviews, meetings and HR-related appointments
- Capturing and updating employee information on internal systems
- Supporting recruitment administration where required
- Assisting with reference checks and document collection
- Managing HR filing, scanning and document control
- Responding to basic HR queries and escalating where necessary
- Supporting payroll administration with accurate information where required
- Assisting with training records and staff communication
- Supporting the HR team with ad hoc administrative duties
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should have:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in HR administration, office administration or a similar support role
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and email
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask and manage daily admin deadlines
- Professional, helpful and reliable working style
Preferred Experience
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Previous experience in an HR department
- Experience with onboarding administration
- Experience maintaining employee files and HR records
- Basic payroll administration exposure
- Experience using HR, payroll or recruitment systems
- Knowledge of HR documentation and employee lifecycle processes
