Hogan Developer – 12-Month Contract

Role Overview

An experienced Hogan Developer is required in Johannesburg for a 12-month contract with possible extension in the banking and financial-services industry. The role develops, enhances, maintains and supports Hogan IMS Mainframe applications in a mission-critical banking environment. The work arrangement is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain Hogan IMS Mainframe applications.
• Participate across the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve production issues.
• Perform unit, system and integration testing.
• Support production releases and incident resolution.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Maintain technical documentation.
• Work with developers, architects, testers, business analysts and infrastructure teams.
• Contribute to application performance and system-reliability improvements.
• Participate in disaster-recovery activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years’ software-development experience.
• Minimum 8 years’ Hogan IMS Mainframe development experience.
• Strong understanding of the full SDLC.
• Experience developing and supporting mission-critical banking applications.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
