Job Description

Responsibilities

Coordinate service teams during events and functions Check venue layouts, table settings and buffet arrangements Brief staff on event requirements and service expectations Allocate duties and monitor performance Coach staff and assist with onboarding Coordinate with the Banqueting Manager, kitchen and other departments Attend to guest requests, concerns and special requirements Monitor service quality and presentation Oversee event breakdown and equipment storage Monitor crockery, cutlery, linen and glassware Report damage, shortages and maintenance needs Maintain hygiene, safety and operational standards

Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric Hospitality or Food & Beverage qualification advantageous 2–3 years’ experience as a senior waiter, banqueting supervisor or head waiter within hospitality Strong understanding of banquet and event service Excellent communication and guest-service skills Ability to supervise and motivate staff Professional appearance and presentation Availability for evenings, weekends and public holidays
