We are seeking an experienced Head of Business Applications to provide strategic leadership and governance over a complex business applications environment. The successful candidate will drive digital transformation initiatives, oversee application lifecycle management, and ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain enterprise application architecture and technology roadmaps.
Lead application portfolio management, governance, and optimisation initiatives.
Oversee solution architecture and integration across enterprise systems and operational technologies.
Drive digital transformation projects and modernisation of legacy platforms.
Manage application vendors, contracts, licensing, and service level agreements.
Establish and maintain IT governance, risk, compliance, and security standards.
Manage business application budgets, forecasting, and technology investment business cases.
Lead stakeholder engagement and organisational change management initiatives.
Mentor and develop high-performing application and technology teams.
Champion agile delivery methodologies and continuous improvement practices.

Minimum Requirements

BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
8–10 years' experience in software engineering and application management.
Minimum 5 years' experience in Enterprise Architecture or Solution Architecture roles.
Proven experience managing business applications in complex and highly regulated environments.
Experience integrating ERP systems with Operational Technology (OT), MES, laboratory, or instrumentation systems.
Demonstrated success managing multi-million Rand technology budgets.
Strong people management and leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Honours Degree, Master's Degree, or MBA with a technology focus.
Certifications in TOGAF, ITIL, Agile/Scrum, or Digital Transformation.
