Hatchery Manager - FM2619

Introduction

A progressive poultry operation in the Kroonstad area is seeking an experienced Hatchery Manager. The role leads hatchery performance, biosecurity, animal welfare, and operational results in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Agricultural Diploma or Degree specialising in poultry or poultry production is advantageous.
• At least five years' experience in hatchery management.
• Knowledge of multi-stage incubation.
• Excellent management and leadership skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Maintenance-oriented approach.
• Computer literacy.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Willingness to live in or relocate to Kroonstad.

Responsibilities

• Manage hatchery operations and maintain required production standards.
• Drive biosecurity and animal-welfare practices.
• Lead the hatchery team and manage operational performance.
• Coordinate maintenance-related requirements.
• Maintain accurate operational records and reporting.
