Group Travel/Tourism Consultant for SA & Africa

Hybrid position - 3 days in office, 2 days remote.

REQUIREMENTS

• Matric, relevant qualification advantageous
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role is essential.
• Proven experience in travel management of specific regions of operation (South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Botswana - advantageous)
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and critical thinking skills
• Passion for creating out of the box travel experiences
• Accuracy and attention to detail

DUTIES

• Extensive client liaison.
• Develop and manage budgets for each program.
• Optimize costs while maintaining quality.
• Coordinate transportation, accommodation, functions, events and all ground activities.
• Ensure seamless execution of travel programs in conjunction with our Programme Tour Director
• Work closely with local industry partners and existing relationships play a large role in the appointment of the applicant.
• Negotiate contracts and secure competitive rates.
• Understand client requirements and preferences.
• Translate briefs into innovative travel programs

Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
