Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of academic experience with some professional exposure in GIS, data analysis, or related fields
Experience working with ESRI ArcGIS Suite, QGIS, or similar GIS software
Proficiency in SQL or similar database languages
Strong understanding of geospatial concepts, projections, and spatial data formats (e.g. shapefiles, GeoJSON, file geodatabases)
Experience analysing and working with large, complex datasets
Ability to build mapping products, dashboards, and data visualisations
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Experience with technical documentation and process documentation
Ability to work in cross-functional and international teams

Advantageous:

Honours degree in a relevant field
Experience with ArcGIS Online and ESRI tools
Exposure to Python, ModelBuilder, or GIS automation tools
Experience with Microsoft Power BI
Knowledge of Network GIS and topology analysis
Exposure to transport, infrastructure, or public safety sectors

Key Responsibilities:

Gather and support requirements for spatial product development and data analysis projects
Clean, manage, and maintain spatial and non-spatial datasets following best practices
Design, build, and maintain GIS mapping products and analysis layers using ESRI tools
Integrate GIS and other data sources into internal systems and dashboards
Assist with geodatabase design, schema development, and data standards
Support automation and management of GIS infrastructure and workflows
Conduct QA/QC on geospatial data to ensure accuracy and consistency
Develop and present geospatial outputs including maps, dashboards, and ESRI StoryMaps
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple regions
