Synopsis

A port-operations business is seeking a Workshop Superintendent to supervise its gearstore and workshop activities in Durban.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise workshop staff and equipment
• liaise with internal and external customers
• attend vessel pre-planning meetings
• plan labour and equipment use
• perform preventative maintenance
• keep stevedoring gear certified and safety compliant.

Qualifications / Minimum Requirements

• Workshop-supervision experience
• mechanical equipment and preventative-maintenance knowledge
• ability to plan labour and equipment
• understanding of safety and equipment-certification requirements.
